AFS Intercultural Programs is a worldwide, nonprofit organization that has been leading international high school student exchange for more than 60 years. Each year, AFS-USA welcomes 2,500 international high school students who come to study in US high schools and live with host families. There are many types of host families: single parents; grandparents; adults who do not have children; as well as two-parent households with small children, teenagers, or no children at home. Local AFS volunteers and staff support host families and students through monthly check-ins as well as regional orientations and/or special events. Students come with their own spending money and medical coverage and have a desire to participate as active members of their host families and communities. We are looking for families in the Dallas/ Forth Worh area and through out Texas to become AFS Host Families to exchange students arriving in mid-August. Interested families can find out more at www.afsusa.org or 800-876-2377.
