THINGS THAT I HOPE YOU FIND INTERESTING ABOUT ME:

FAVORITE COUNTRY STAR:
George Strait(nobody makes singing songs sound so simple)

FAVORITE FOOD: I love ALL types of food but my all time favorite food is still a good pizza or a thick juicy steak!

FAVORITE RESTAURANT: For Mexican it's Joe T. Garcia's in Ft. Wolf.  For Steaks it's Cattlemen's in Ft. Worth.  For Pizza I love the Italian Cafe which is close to where I live.

FAVORITE PRO SPORTS TEAM: Dallas Cowboys- Despite their ups and downs I'm a proud season ticket holder for 4 years now.

FAVORITE COLLEGE TEAM: TCU Horned Frogs--I look forward to them competing in the Big 12!

FAVORITE TV SHOW: It used to be "Deadliest Catch" but now it's "Modern Family."

MY DOG:My dog "Boomer" is my companion at home.  "Boomer"(his name has nothing to do with the Oklahmoa Sooners) is a 12 pound Chihuahua/Jack Russell mix who is the life of the party wherever he goes.  You can see pics of Boomer here in the pics section.

HOBBIES: Two years ago I began playing guitar and still take lessons every Monday night.  It's a lot harder than you'd think and gives me a much better appreciation watching people like Brad Paisley and Keith Urban on stage.  I still need a ton of practice but I hope someday to be able to play at Wolf 12 Man Jam!

OTHER JOBS I'VE HAD: I was a Field Artillery Officer in the U.S. Army for three years at Ft. Sill, OK. Hard to believe they'd trust a guy like me with nukes but they did.

Taylor Swift and Zac Efron visited The Ellen DeGeneres Show yesterday for their only interview together regarding their new film Dr. Seuss’ The Lorax. Ellen repeatedly joked that the two were a couple, since the tabloids won’t seem to let go of the story. Taylor stressed she understands co-stars fall in love during filming but not “animated movie co-stars.” In fact, the two actually recorded their voiceovers on two different coasts. Zac also mentions he “got his first guitar lesson from Taylor.” The two played their own rendition of Foster The People’s “Pumped Up Kicks” on for Ellen, with a verse they made-up on the spot about Ellen. Dr. Seuss’ The Lorax debuts in theaters next Friday.

A California woman was arrested on Wednesday after trespassing on Kenny Chesney’s Nashville property. Melissa Mansfield, who was intoxicated at the time, was near the pool area which is surrounded by a fence. She claims to have had a relationship with Kenny and that she received a personal invitation to the property. Kenny’s alarm system notified police that someone was at the home, and his publicist denied allegations of a relationship between the two. Melissa posted a $1,000 bail and will appear in court on February 23rd.

For years, the St. Patrick's Day Parade has been a Dallas tradition on Greenville Avenue, but this year's parade has been in doubt to do a budget shortfall.  The Greenville Avenue Area Business Association was short $40,000 and needed someone to step up and donate the money to cover the cost of security, barricades and cleanup.  Someone did yesterday, and that someone was Mavs owner Mark Cuban.  Cuban wrote a check to cover the $40,000 and wrote another check to the DISD scholarship fund for $25,000.  The scholarship is normally funded every year through the parade's revenue.

The 2012 Westminster Dog Show wrapped up last night, and the big winner was a tiny dog. Four year old, Malachy the Pekingese, was the star at Madison Square Garden, going home with the coveted Best in Show award. Weighing in at just 11 pounds, Malachy has made his way to the top becomming the first Peke to win since 1990 and just the fourth time ever.
