Mark Phillips, weekdays 3pm - 7pm

Happy Holidays and welcome to my little section of the Wolf Website.  It's hard to believe I've been here at 99.5 The Wolf for nearly five years. I appreciate you listening on the drive home from 3pm-7pm each day. I just want to say THANK YOU for making the Wolf the most listened to country radio station in America!!  I also enjoy talking to Wolf Fans on the phone and getting listener email. “Thanks” for listening to 99.5 The Wolf!!

THINGS THAT I HOPE YOU FIND INTERESTING ABOUT ME:

FAVORITE COUNTRY STAR:
George Strait(nobody makes singing songs sound so simple)

FAVORITE FOOD: I love ALL types of food but my all time favorite food is still a good pizza or a thick juicy steak!

FAVORITE RESTAURANT: For Mexican it's Joe T. Garcia's in Ft. Wolf.  For Steaks it's Cattlemen's in Ft. Worth.  For Pizza I love the Italian Cafe which is close to where I live.

FAVORITE PRO SPORTS TEAM: Dallas Cowboys- Despite their ups and downs I'm a proud season ticket holder for 4 years now.

FAVORITE COLLEGE TEAM: TCU Horned Frogs--I look forward to them competing in the Big 12!

FAVORITE TV SHOW: It used to be "Deadliest Catch" but now it's "Modern Family."

MY DOG:My dog "Boomer" is my companion at home.  "Boomer"(his name has nothing to do with the Oklahmoa Sooners) is a 12 pound Chihuahua/Jack Russell mix who is the life of the party wherever he goes.  You can see pics of Boomer here in the pics section.

HOBBIES: Two years ago I began playing guitar and still take lessons every Monday night.  It's a lot harder than you'd think and gives me a much better appreciation watching people like Brad Paisley and Keith Urban on stage.  I still need a ton of practice but I hope someday to be able to play at Wolf 12 Man Jam!

OTHER JOBS I'VE HAD: I was a Field Artillery Officer in the U.S. Army for three years at Ft. Sill, OK. Hard to believe they'd trust a guy like me with nukes but they did.

As some of you know, I'm a TCU Horned Frogs fan. The Frogs don't get the same kind of TV exposure that the Longhorns, A & M and even this year Texas Tech get. In this BCS crazy world, I think it's a tremendous tribute to Coach Gary Patterson and his team that they can be recognized as the 7th best college football team in the country. With their only losses coming to # 2 ranked Utah and # 5 Oklahoma(ahh there is justice with the Sooners finishing behind Texas in the final poll), the Frogs have shown that you don't need to be in the Big 12 to be an outstanding football program. It's always a thrill walking down "Frog Alley" before a game and seeing the purple pride on display at Amon Carter Stadium. Plus with Coach Patterson under contract for five more years things are looking bright for Frog Fans! Congratulations also to the fans of the Longhorns and Texas Tech who both had outstanding seasons. It was truly an exciting and enjoyable year for college football here in the Lone Star State.
