It's Avian Day at the airport and several feathered friends have already boarded the plane: cardinals, bald eagles, hummingbirds, falcons.  But as a penguin and ostrich reach the front of the line a security guard steps ahead of them.  "I'm sorry to tell you," he says, "but both of you are on the No-Fly list."

Billy Currington along with his bassist suffered injuries over the weekend after heavy winds caused the stage he had just finished performing on, to collapse. Here is the Big Valley Jamboree statement Billy released and below a video of the stage collapse.

"Due to severe storms and tornadic weather activity on Saturday night, the stage at the Big Valley Jamboree music festival in Camrose, Alberta, Canada’s largest country music festival, collapsed where singer Billy Currington was performing. Currington was on the last song of his set when the wind blew the staging down on top of him and his band.

Currington was taken to the hospital and suffered a minor concussion but is expected to make a full recovery. He has been released from the hospital and has returned to his home in Nashville. Currington’s bass player Alex Stevens was pinned under the wreckage of the stage for half an hour while rescue personnel removed debris to free him. Stevens underwent immediate surgery to repair a severed artery and nerves in his left arm and is currently receiving treatment in Nashville. Currington sent a message to his fans today via Twitter, "The boys and I are very grateful to be home and for life itself. We thank you for your prayers and concern and will see you on the road again soon." Currington also comments from his home in Nashville, "My heart goes out to the family of Donna Moore who was killed and all of the other fans who were hurt on Saturday."

Along with a picture of his injury, Billy posted this picture on his twitter page with the caption below.

This week Billy Currington’s current single, “People Are Crazy”, is spending its second week at the top of the Country music charts. Such success had caught the attention of David Letterman who's invited him to perform on his show.  Set your DVR's for August the 19th! Follow his direct updates on his Twitter page. Master Chef

Every day this week we are picking a winning recipe for different categories of food, so listen at 6:20am to hear the day's category then you can submit your recipe right here on the Wake Up With The Wolf page!  Today's winner for the entree category is Jeff Johnson with his Jalapeno Shrimp Wraps!

Ingredients: Large Jalapeno Peppers, Large Shrimp with tails, shell and vein removed, sliced onion, quartered bacon cut in to 6 inch pieces, butter, and bamboo skewers

Directions:  Start soaking the bamboo skewers in water at least 60 minutes in advance of preparation.  Slice the jalapeno's lengthwise and remove the seeds(You can leave some seeds to increase spiciness).  Place one shrimp, a slice of onion and about 1/4 teaspoon of butter inside the pepper.  Additional spices can be added as you desire.  Wrap the bacon around the outside of the pepper and run a skewer through the bacon, pepper and shrimp.  The skewer will hold everything together while it cooks.  Place on a grill over low to low-medium heat for about 10 minutes or until the bacon and shrimp are done.  You can make as many as you want, but make sure you watch the cook!  It never fails, we never get back the same amount we take out for him to cook!
