Turns out April 15th is a pretty big day over the last couple of hundred years…

Abraham Lincoln died April 15, 1865.

The Titanic sank April 15, 1912.

Jackie Robinson ended segregation in baseball when he broke the “color barrier” April 15, 1947 (that’s why all major league baseball players wear Robinson’s number 42 today).

And, were it not for the Emancipation Day holiday observance in Washington DC, today also would be INCOME TAX DEADLINE DAY!
