Gregg Allman – Music Legend Dies at 69

Gregg Allman, a founding member of the Allman Brothers Band, who helped shape what was labeled as Southern rock passed away at his home Saturday in Savannah, Ga. He was 69.   Although he has suffered many health issues recently, no cause of death has been given.  Allman brothers band had hits songs in the 1970s with songs like “Ramblin’ Man” and “Midnight Rider”

Gregory LeNoir Allman was born on Dec. 8, 1947, in Nashville.  Allman is survived by his wife, Shannon Allman; his three sons, Michael, Devon and Elijah Blue; and two daughters, Island and Layla; and three grandchildren.
