Costco Has 15 Acres Ready to Build New Store in McKinney

Opening date for McKinney location (corner of at Hardin Boulevard and US 380)  was October 1st, but Costco has made a correction now saying they will not give an opening date yet.  Wholesale Club has purchased 15.5 acres in McKinney’s Headington Heights area and plans to build a 150,000 store that will include a tire service center and gas station.

There are 10 Costco locations in DFW including:  Southlake, Lewisville, Fort Worth, Arlington, Duncanville, East and West Plano, Frisco and Rockwall.   It can take up to six months to build a store, so expect opening in early 2018.  The store will be Costco’s 11th in Dallas-Fort Worth.  The new Costco is about 2 miles from the Sam’s Club in McKinney.   More Story: DALLAS NEWS
