The Grand Ole Opry will host a series of Wednesday night shows this September that will benefit Country Cares for St. Jude Kids, which was founded by Alabama’s Randy Owen in 1989 and has since raised more than $700 million in pledges for the children of St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
Artists slated to perform during the Wednesday night showcases include:
- Sept 13: Luke Bryan, Randy Owen, Charles Esten, Clare Bowen and more
- Sept. 20: Darius Rucker, Vince Gill, Brothers Osborne, Carly Pearce, Jacob Davis, Henry Cho and more
- Sept. 27: Lorrie Morgan, Marshal Tucker Band, Dailey & Vincent, William Michael Morgan and more
$5 from each ticket sold will be donated to St. Jude.
Throughout the Wednesday night shows, photos and videos of inspirational moments from Country Cares for St. Jude Kids will be shared, and a St. Jude patient will take the stage as a special guest announcer for the night. During the month of September, which is Childhood Cancer Awareness Month, supporters are encouraged to help St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital in its efforts to end childhood cancer.
