Restaurant Manager Threatens to Punish Workers Evacuating for Hurricane

This Pizza Hut Manager in Jacksonville Florida addressing employees that miss shifts due to evacuating too early for Hurricane Irma.  The first line says:  Our #1 Priority is the safety and security of our team but . . . The memo includes workers have a “responsibility and commitment” to the community, and that employees would only get a 24-hour “grace period.”

“You cannot evacuate Friday for a Tuesday storm event!” the notice reads “Failure to show for these shifts, regardless of reason, will be considered a no call / no show and documentation will be issued.”

Pizza Hut might not be too happy of the negative attention to one of their restaurants.
