NerdWallet: The best places for families based on the criteria of:  affordability, growth and prosperity, and family-friendliness.  Four of the TOP 10 are in Texas which is more than any other state,  U.S. Census Bureau’s American Community Survey for 944 cities with populations between 25,000 and 75,000.

3. Leander, Texas

4. Lehi, Utah
5. Sammamish, Wash.
6. Brentwood, Tenn.
7. Flower Mound, Texas
8. Cedar Park, Texas

9. Bentonville, Ark.
10. Plainfield, Ill.

Little Elm made the list  because it’s one the fastest-growing city in the top 10,  population increased nearly 47% in five years and the second most affordable city the top 10

7. FLOWER MOUND, TEXAS

Population over 70,000 ranked the best for family friendliness, and average home value $280,000, schools and family activities scored high.
