The State Fair of Texas ran from Sept 29th to Sunday Oct 22nd and had 2.2 Million visitors during it’s 24 day run. This year made $54.5 million in coupon sales — according to fair officials that is second-best in the festival’s history

2016 revenue was 56 Million in food, drinks, and rides and also 2016 had 200,000 more visitors than 2017.
More Military visitors: 2017 Inaugural Military Appreciation Day brought in more Military members than 2016 with total of 11,300 which is 1700 more than last year.
Security: This year more money was paid for security to $1 million , nearly doubled than previously paid.
Biggest Day in Sales: Oct 14th $5.1 million in single-day gross coupon Red River Showdown — a record for the fair
North Texas Food Bank donations: 249,577 pounds of food collected will be donated to the North Texas Food Bank sounds impressive but that is 7% down from 2016.
