Dallas County Reported Friday 5 More Deaths Due to Flu; Total at 31

Dallas County stands at 31 as of Friday,  Tarrant County has reported 3 and Denton County 2 in flu-related deaths.  The most recent victims were an 87-year-old from Cedar Hill, a  72-year-old from Duncanville, a 42-year-old from Dallas, a 38-year-old from Addison and a 60-year-old from Carrollton.  It’s too early to confirm if this is the worst flu season.

Do your part to prevent spreading the flu

  • Get a flu shot.
  • Cover your cough with a tissue or your sleeve.
  • Don’t go to work sick and don’t drop off a sick child at a child care facility or school, where infections can spread quickly.
  • Wash your hands often and keep your hands away from your face.
