Fort Worth Pays Homeless People to Pick Up Trash

The program is called ‘Clean Slate’ and is giving homeless people a chance to turn their life around and that starts with earning money.  Many live in homeless shelters and this program cleans the city of trash and pays homeless people a way to earn income. The city pays for it. The shelter runs it.  “It is a win-win,” said Presbyterian Night Shelter CEO Toby Owen.  Fort Worth is not the only city trying this program out,  Los Angeles is moving forward with the plan.   MORE INFO:  HERE
