He played Marin the retired disabled cop who lived with his dog Eddie in the home of his son Frasier Crane.  We all loved that blue collar attitude which was completely opposite of his two sons Frasier and NIles.  Sadly he died at the age of 77,  he past away in Chicago after a brief hospitalization,   “Frasier,” aired from 1993 to 2004

His recent credits included a recurring role as Betty White’s love interest on “Hot in Cleveland” and a 2015 episode of “Foyle’s War.”
