In 2017 Applebee’s and IHOP, both owned by Dine Brands Global closed nearly 100 Restaurants. For 2018 more restaurants will shut down, on Tuesday, Applebee’s announced 60 to 80 locations will close and IHOP expecting 30 to 40 locations will close by the end of the year.
According to the statement: “The expected closures will be based on several criteria, including meeting our brand and image standards as well as operational results” MORE STORY: HERE
Other chain restaurants have also struggled with declining sales including Buffalo Wild Wings, TGI Friday’s, and Ruby Tuesday and have resulted to closing some locations.
