In New York state, an ice storm with ice accumulations of up to an inch expected. Also winter storms hit hard on Sunday, including Georgia, Nebraska and into the Carolinas, and parts of Virginia and Maryland, including the Washington, D.C., area. 100 drivers had to be rescued after being stuck on the roads during the blizzard. Minnesota had blizzard conditions covering most of the state.
And, then severe thunderstorms from Tennessee across Mississippi, Alabama and into southeastern Louisiana.
