November 2017, a homeless man gave his last $20 to buy stranded woman gas, the homeless veteran, Johnny Bobbitt and the woman, Kate McClure with her boyfriend set-up a GoFundMe account which raised $402,000. Johnny Bobbitt says he received small portion of that money and the couple spent the rest on themselves. The couple says there’s only $150,000 left. Now, a judge as ordered the couple to give Johnny Bobbitt all the money left in the account.
The attorney for the couple says: “Mr. Bobbitt received in cash as well as goods and services that were paid for out of this money of over $200,000,”
The attorney for Johnny Bobbitt says: “If they spent money on themselves and I say if they did, we want reimbursement of the money. Not just for Johnny, but for the 14,000 people who contributed”
