Family-owned and operated Freed’s Furniture announced they are closing their doors after 80 years in the furniture business. On a flier that was sent out to preferred customers: “After four generations of serving northern Texas, we have one final thing to say … Thank you for your friendship and loyal patronage. The Dallas location on LBJ Freeway and the Plano store on W. 15th Street are holding going out of business sales. Freed’s store in Arlington on S. Cooper Street closed earlier this year.
