Dallas Police No Longer Requires College Credit for Applicants

Applicants that are not required to have 45 hours of college credit MUST be certified with the Texas Commission of Law Enforcement.   Also increase the starting pay to $60,000Mike Mata, president of the Dallas Police Association said, 
 “It’s just the first in what I believe will be many future steps in lowering our standards, which I believe can and will have negative effects for years to come.”   FULL STORY: HERE

Police officials had pushed for the changes as they look for ways to recruit more officers and get them on the street quicker.
