Dallas Police Chief Renee Hall says the department won’t tolerate anymore looting or violence following days of protest in parts of downtown and uptown over the death of George Floyd.
“We are instituting a curfew that will being at 7 PM and end at 6 AM for the next several days,” said Hall, “We will not tolerate anymore damage to our city,”
The curfew applies to areas affected by looting, including Uptown, Deep Ellum, Victory Park, the Central Business District, the West End, Farmers Market, and the Cedars.
George Floyd died after video showed a Minneapolis police officer kneel on Floyd’s neck while he pleaded for help.
