A huge part of the big game on Sunday is the munchies you serve up at your gathering and some of us get super competitive when it comes to bringing dishes that blow the party away. We chatted with our Wolf family and they shared their can’t be beat party food ideas!!
Mini Potato Skins (use this recipe with the mini potatoes for a bite sized treat)
Stacey From Fort Worth’s Sweet Savory Salty Dip: Small jar of Hellman’s mayo, mix it with 3 chopped green onions, 1/2 cup of cooked & chopped bacon, 1/2 cup chopped pecans, cup of shredded cheese. Spread it out in a 9×13 dish and cover with raspberry preserves. Serve with Ritz Crackers
Robert from Sulpher Springs Smoked Deviled Eggs: Boil and peel the eggs and then let them a hang out on a 180′ smoker for 30 minutes. He said from there make the Deviled Eggs you love and watch them get consumed like crazy fast! He likes to mix in bacon, jalapenos and hot sauce.
Christine from White Settlement said everyone LOVES her Sweet Bacon Wrapped Cheddar Smokies: Mix brown sugar and maple syrup together to make a “paste” pour that over cheddar smokies wrapped in bacon. Bake them up until the bacon is crisp and serve.
Tara’s friend Erin taught her this recipe years ago and its a huge hit at every party… Erin’s from Round Rock’s Black Bean Dip
One can of black beans, rinsed and drained, Half a can of mexi-corn, drained, Chopped cilantro, Chopped jalapenos Chopped Tomatoes, Chunked Avocados, Limes (the juice keeps the Avocados from turning brown)
Mix the black beans and corn together, stir in cilantro and jalapenos, add some black pepper and a little salt. Put it in the fridge to marinate for awhile. 20 minutes before your guest arrive, chop and de-seed your tomatoes, cut avocados into small chunks and squeeze fresh limes over the top. Add to bowl and lightly stir. (you don’t want to stir too much, because your avocados will get mushy) Serve with corn and blue tortilla chips!
Lisa from Tom Bean shared her Cheese Ball Recipe that can be shaped like a football for the occasion!! Mix cream cheese, a jar of dried beef (she said find it on the tuna fish aisle) a splash of Worcestershire Sauce and some garlic powder and watch everybody dig in!
