In light of the FDA’s recommendation, several cities have announced that they will not be administering the Johnson & Johnson Vaccine today. If you are scheduled for the vaccine today you will want to call ahead to check the status in your city.
Today FDA and @CDCgov issued a statement regarding the Johnson & Johnson #COVID19 vaccine. We are recommending a pause in the use of this vaccine out of an abundance of caution.

@CityOfDallas and the @VNATexas were scheduled to start in-home vaccinations today. The @US_FDA and the @CDCgov recommended postponing distributing Johnson & Johnson vaccine due to blood clotting incidents. The City will pause its in-home vaccine roll out until further notice.

Due to today's announcement from the CDC and FDA regarding the Johnson & Johnson vaccine, the City of Garland Health Department is canceling today's afternoon mass vaccination event at Johnson Stadium (originally scheduled for 1 to 3 p.m.).
