There are huge blood shortages all over the country so everyone is in need. I am as we speak typing this on my phone as I donate double red at Carter BloodCare in Dallas. The double red takes about 30min but the donation goes much farther. What is double red/power red you ask?
From the Red Cross website:
“Power Red is similar to a whole blood donation, except a special machine is used to allow you to safely donate two units of red blood cells during one donation while returning your plasma and platelets to you.”
