Going from Homeless to Married

Justin and his awesome family

Today on the morning show for North Texas Giving Day we talked to Justin who at 23yo knew he needed to make a life change. He didn’t like who had become and wanted to be better. He made the difficult decision to swallow his pride and go into the Samaritan Inn which is a homeless shelter and rehab program with multiple locations in the DFW area. It was there that he got his life back on track, learned skills to be successful, got and job and met his wife and step daughter. Now 8yrs later they have an amazing family of 3 adding 2 boys to the mix. The lesson here is that it’s never too late to make a change and sometimes your biggest enemy is yourself. Making that decision to change is one that is tough but you will never forget.
