Gregg Allman, the Southern rock legend was laid to rest Saturday, he died last Saturday May 27th at the age of 69. Allman’s funeral was held in Macon, Georgia. The service was only for family and friends, fans lined the route from the funeral home to Rose Hill Cemetery in Macon.
Allman, who died at his home in Savannah, Georgia, was diagnosed with hepatitis C in 1999 and underwent a liver transplant in 2010. He died of complications from liver cancer. Former president Jimmy Carter, Peter Frampton, ex-wife Cher and many of Allman’s bandmates.

Gregory LeNoir Allman (December 8, 1947 – May 27, 2017) born and raised in Nashville. Allman’s manager Michael Lehman said in last days of Allman’s life: ” I told him that his legacy is going to be protected, and the gift that he gave to the music world will continue to live on forever.”
