Some Texans are going to huge fans of this new requirement. Department of Public Safety announced on Thursday that anyone 18 and older will be required to take “Impact Texas Young Drivers” course. This will be the second course by DPS, in 2015 drivers ages 15 to 17 were required to take a course (two-hour video) called “Impact Texas Teen Drivers.” The new and one-hour course is required to have a Texas drivers license, it doesn’t apply to those who already have a license.
“Driving is one of the most dangerous things we do on a daily basis, and it should command our undivided attention,” DPS Director Steven McCraw said in the news release.
