David Cassidy Dead at 67

He recorded ten albums by The Partridge Family and five solo albums.   How big was the show?  “I Think I Love You” was the number one single of the year 1970, outselling The Beatles “Let It Be”.

Cassidy has spoken in recent interviews about his struggles with alcohol following DUI arrests on three separate occasions between 2010 and 2014.  Announced in February 2017 Cassidy was battling dementia.  “I was in denial,” Cassidy said, “but a part of me always knew this was coming.”

He was being treated at a Fort Lauderdale, Florida for multiple organ failure.  His representative said he was surrounded by family.”  He is survived by his daughter Katie, 30, and son Beau, 26.
