HPD officers armed with AR-15s at Houston airports
Houston Police are stepping security at both of their major airports with officers packing semi-automatic rifles for the first time ever. According to HPD, the officers will patrol all areas of the airport including the parking garages.
HPD Lt. David Acres said: “It’s something we’ve been in discussion about for years and just decided this Thanksgiving to start implementing.” said Lt. Acres “We’re just simply doing it to increase security here at the airport,”
