Matt Lauer’s wife Annette Roque has left their marital home and has even left the Country. With all of the allegations of sexual harassment have now surfaced, she has left the U.S. taking the couple’s two youngest daughter Romy , 14 and son Thijs, 11, and has gone back to her native Netherlands. They also have a 16-year-old son that attends prep school.
NBC met with a female employee who gave details, and pictures about the inappropriate behavior she experienced. NBC News chairman Andrew Lack sent out in the early hours of Wednesday, November 29, notifying all employees Lauer violated company standards and he was terminated. Lauer was making $20 Million per year.
Roque filed for divorce in 2006, outlining in her filing how Lauer’s treatment to her was “cruel and inhumane.”
