Woman Facing Homelessness Wins $25K for Life

A Michigan woman, Shawna Donnelly, 50,  said she was nearly homeless when she bought a ticket at 7-Eleven store for January 15th drawing for  ‘$25,000 for life’  game.  She won but has decided instead of collecting the $25,000 each year, she chose the lump sum of $390,000, which she picked up on Monday.   Who else is thinking this?   $390k divided by $25k = 15.6 years. Why wouldn’t you take $25k for life?    More:  Here
She said:  “The last year has been the most difficult of my life. I’ve been taking care of my mom full-time, and it’s hard to make ends meet”

"I woke up in the middle of the night and had a feeling I should check my tickets" That feeling was right – she won $25,000 for life.
