The complaints are because bikes have been found all-over, on sidewalks, paths,in handicap ramps, handicap parking spots, even yards. The majority of the complaints were against LimeBike. The city estimates that there are around 20,000 ride-share bikes in Dallas. LimeBike, Ofo, VBikes, Spin and Mobike – were notified that as of Friday Feb. 9, the city “may be left with no choice but to begin removing bicycles in its rights of way, sidewalks, trails and/or trail heads that are identified as obstructions or hazards.” FULL STORY: HERE
City of Dallas, Transportation manager says: “If the City continues to receive complaints, and the bike share companies do not comply and address that issue, the City will then remove the bikes identified as causing an obstruction or hazard.”
