Jason Aldean had hundreds of songs to choose from for his new album, Rearview Town, which is out today (Friday).
He says he immediately knows which songs will work for him and which ones won’t.
“Half of them you don’t ever get past the first verse because I kind of immediately know if it’s in the ballpark or not. If I know it’s not in the ballpark I’m not going to waste their time or mine. I just kind of stop and go next.”
Jason’s got a big week ahead of him. On Sunday, he’ll perform on the ACM Awards, where he’s nominated for Entertainer of the Year. He’ll be on The Ellen DeGeneres Show on Monday and The Late Show With Stephen Colbert on Tuesday.
