Southwest Gives Flight 1380 Passengers $5,000 checks

 The flight had engine failure and forced an emergency landing.  The airline wants to provide for  “immediate financial needs” to the passengers.

“We value you as our customer and hope you will allow us another opportunity to restore your confidence in Southwest as the airline you can count on for your travel needs,”  from CEO, Gary Kelly, inside the letter sent to passengers that contained $5,000 check and a $1,000 travel voucher .  The flight had 144 passengers and five crew member on the flight from New York to Dallas.
