No more peanuts! And no it’s not because of budgets cuts but it’s because of people with peanut allergies. Southwest Airlines will no longer serve peanuts to protect people who are allergic to them. You will still get snacks but your choice will vary depending on the length of your flight. Southwest will offer to passengers: pretzels, cookies, veggie chips and corn chips.
“Peanuts forever will be part of Southwest’s history and DNA,” the company said in a statement. “However, to ensure the best on-board experience for everyone, especially for customers with peanut-related allergies, we’ve made the difficult decision to discontinue serving peanuts on all flights beginning August 1st.” More STORY: HERE
